NFSA Reacts to Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act in 115th Congress

On March 9th, Senators Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Tom Carper (D-Delaware) filed the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act (FSIA), while Representatives Tom Reed (R- New York) and Jim Langevin (D-Rhode Island) introduced the companion House legislation, to encourage building owners to invest in life-saving fire safety upgrades. DECEMBER 2016 WAUKESHA MUNICIPAL GARAGE The fire sprinkler system at the city’s municipal garage confined a fire in a dump truck. Firefighters used a small water can to fully extinguish the fire.
