MILWAUKEE, WI (March 9, 2019) – The Burn Center Golf Invitational committee presented checks to the Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Burn Center and Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation from the 2018 Burn Center Golf Invitational (BCGI). The event was hosted by the WI Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa.
The Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Burn Center received $77,865. The money will be used to expand the Burn Center Outpatient Care Clinic. The Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation received $33,914 which will be used for the Newspapers in Education project and the WI Camp for Burn-Injured Youth.
The fire sprinkler industry initiated and has supported the golf invitational for 30 years, donating more than $2.5 million to the two organizations assisting them with their missions of burn prevention and burn injury care.
