Golfers come together “fore” 29th annual Burn Center Golf Invitational

This year’s Annual Burn Center Golf Invitational hosted by the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association was a huge success! Held at the Grand Geneva Resort on August 28, more than 175 golfers came out to support Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Burn Center and the Alliance for Fire Safety Camp for Burn Injured Youth. The event raised more than $90,000. Over the past 29 years, $2.3 million has been raised. Big thanks to the committee, all volunteers, the sponsors, the Lake Geneva Fire Department, and the participants! Congratulations to Dan Gengler, former WI NFSA regional manager, and Milwaukee Fire Department deputy chief, who received the Ray Malek Award at the event for all his contributions in planning and coordinating the Burn Center Golf Invitational, including his 23 years as the event co-chairperson. The committee is excited to begin planning for the 30th anniversary event next year!
