Fire Sprinkler Facts:
Fire sprinklers have been saving lives and property for more than 100 years.
Fire sprinklers are widely recognized as the single most effective method for fighting the spread of fires in their early stages – before they can cause severe injury to people and major damage to property.
Fire sprinklers are activated ONLY by fire’s intense heat. The entire system DOES NOT activate. Only the sprinkler closest to the flames activates and controls or extinguishes the fire.
Fire sprinklers are environmentally friendly! They quick response of fire sprinklers curbs the heat, smoke and poisonous gases. Less water is used by a fire sprinkler than a fire hose. Less home materials burn limiting particle pollution and carbon dioxide emissions.
If you work or live in a high-rise building (a building 75 feet or higher) not protected with fire sprinklers, contact your building owner and/or manager requesting they install a system to protect your life and those of your neighbors.
